Funeral services were held Wednesday in the chapel of Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green, Alabama for Billy Lipscomb Pitcock of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, who died Saturday (January 9, 1992) in the Health South Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He was 58.

Wheeler Shouse officiated. Burial followed in the Rice Cemetery in New Market.

A native of Madison County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Ollie and Annie Ricketts Pitcock and a retired heavy equipment operator for the City of Fort Walton Beach. He followed the Jehovah's Witness.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Marie Strickland Pitcock of Fort Walton Beach; a son, David Pitcock of Fort Walton Beach; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann White of Birmingham, Pauline Johnson of Destin, Florida, and Terri Pitcock of Fort Walton Beach; four sisters, Annie Ruth Mason and JoAnn Bridges, both of New Market, Alabama, Ruby Miller of Columbus, Georgia, and Jean Seagroves of Nashville; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green with Wheeler Shouse officiating. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery near New Market, Ala. Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Pitcock; a son, David Pitcock of Florida; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann White of Birmingham, Pauline Johnson of Destin, Fla., and Terri Pitcock of Fort Walton Beach; four sisters, Annie Ruth Mason and Jo Ann Bridges, both of New Market, Ruby Miller of Columbus, Ga., and Jean Seagroves of Nashville; and five grandchildren.
