Mrs. Grace Dies In Her 81st Year
Mother of John A. Grace, Barrister, Was Widely Known
Mrs. Bridget Grace, widow of Patrick J. Grace and mother of John A. Grace, prominent Ottawa barrister, died this morning at her home, 457 Sunnyside avenue, following a brief illness in her 81st year. Mrs. Grace had been a resident of Ottawa for the past 35 years and her death will be mourned deeply by a large circle of friends. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Colton, she was born at Panmure, Ont., and following her marriage to Patrick J. Grace resided for a time in Pakenham and Almonte before coming to Ottawa. Her husband predeceased her six years. A devout Roman Catholic in religion, Mrs. Grace belonged to St. Margaret Mary's parish and was a member of the Catholic Women's League and the League of the Sacred Heart. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Grace, at home, and Mrs. H. A. Thebo, of Washington, D.C.; and three sons, Frank J., superintendent of the Canadian Legion Shelter, of Ottawa; Leo M., of Cleveland, and John A., barrister, of Ottawa. The funeral will be held on Friday morning at 7.45 o'clock from her home to St. Margaret Mary's Church for solemn requiem high mass. Interment will take place at Notre Dame cemetery.
