Mrs. C.A. Swenson
The funeral services for Mrs. C.A. Swenson, 210 Wilson Avenue NE, who died Wednesday, October 12, is set for two oclock Friday afternoon at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. E.O. Widen officiating, with burial in the Sauk Rapids cemetery. Until the funeral hour the body will be at the Colbert Chapel.
Mrs. Swenson was 79 years old. She was born in Norland, Sweden, in 1859, coming to America at the age of 10 years. Her maiden name was Sarah Martha Sutherland. Moving to St paul in 1878, she was married in that city in 1883, coming to St Cloud in 1884. During her life in this city she has been active in the women's auxiliary of Calvary Baptist Church, in both local and state work.
Mr. Swenson died in April of this year.
Surviving children are Emery Swenson and Mrs. L.R. Critchfield of St Paul; George Swenson of Los Angeles; Mrs. Fred Childers of Ely; Mrs. Ray Peterson of Pillager; and Conwell Swenson, San Francisco. There are 15 grandchildren.
