GREENSBURG RECORD HERALD OBITUARY – 1970
Mrs. Cornelia Milby Bell, daughter of the late Mr. Dave Milby & Mrs. Ann Lizzie Price Milby, was born November 10, 1919, in Green Co. and departed this life at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 1970 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was a resident of Allendale. She was 50 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Allendale Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Ernest Bell April 16, 1938, who survives. To this union were born 1 daughter and 2 sons: Mrs. Barbara Jean Perkins, Ernest Bell Jr. and Ronnie Bell all of Louisville. Mrs. Bell is also survived by 2 brothers: Lonzie Milby, Magnolia; D.C. Milby, Greensburg; 6 sisters: Mrs. Ann Mary Edmonds, Magnolia; Mrs. Jennie Popplewell, Mrs. Lillian Keltner and Mrs. Elva Judd all of Illinois; Mrs. Christine Bagby, Buffalo and Mrs. Everett Wolfe, Salem, IN; and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Allendale Baptist Church Monday, January 19, 1970 at 1 p.m. with burial in the Bell Cemetery. Revs. Terry Bishop and Clarence Walters officiated. Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home were in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Russell DeSpain, Ray Hudgins, Arvin Ford, James Milby, David Edmonds and Billy Dean Milby.
