Death of An Aged Pioneer
Our old friend and life-long patron, Josiah Reed, of Union township, died last Friday at the age of 86 years. He was born in Union township and lived there all his life, except two years he recently spent in Columbus. He was a good man who meant well to his neighbors, who all respected him for his uprightness of character. While in life he was said to be the oldest surviving citizen born within the city limits of the county. His death occurred at the home of his son, Alex Reed, who resides a few miles north of Marysville. Tha funeral was held Sunday morning the services being held In the Presbyterian church at Milford Centre, Rev. Wm. G. March of this city officiating. The interment was made at tha Samuel Wood cemetery, on Big Darby.
