Printes Victor Park, 78, of Germantown, retired chief chemist in the laboratory department of Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., died of Alzheimer's disease Monday at Primacy Parkway Nursing Home.

He served as a captain in the Chemical Warfare Division of the armed forces during World War II. He was a deacon, director of the senior adult Sunday school department and sang in the senior adult choir at First Baptist Church. He and his wife were volunteer missionaries to Upper Volta in the early 1980s, and he was a volunteer at the Memphis Zoo and Memphis Literacy Council.

Services were at Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or Trinity Baptist Church.
