Another Old Resident of Peoria Died
This Morning at the Advanced
Age of 76 Years
Death claimed another old resident of Peoria this morning when Mrs. Minnie Weller, in her seventy-sixth year and for 58 years a resident of this city, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. C. Rohlfsen, 1339 Glen Oak avenue.
The end came at 2:20 o'clock this morning, the direct cause being pneumonia, with which she sickened last Monday. Her health had been indifferent since a year and a half ago, when she was stricken with paralysis.
Mrs. Weller was a native of Germany. When a lass of 15 she came to the United States and lived in Pennsylvania until in the latter fifties she came to Peoria.
Her husband, Louis Weller, a veteran of the civil war, died 25 years ago. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rohlfsen, Mrs. A. M. Miller, and Mrs. Lena Bross of Peoria, Mrs. Minnie Kabat, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Augusta Fields of Indianapolis. Also by one son, Fred Weller of this city. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two brothers are living, Gus Green of this city and Louis Green of Hugo, Colo., and one sister, Mrs. Lena Fisher of St. Louis, who is at present visiting in Los Angeles, Cal., and will be unable to attend the funeral.
The funeral will take place at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the residence, the Rev. Frederick Bess of the Lutheran church officiating. The interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
