Mary C. Craun, daughter of James William Craun and Elizabeth C. Craun of Augusta County. First wife of James William Croushorn. They were married in Mt. Sidney on May 5, 1893 according to family Bible notation of Jim Croushorn; however, I have May 21 from some other source. (?) Marriage performed by W.B.Oney. She was 22 years 5 months, and James (Jim) was 21 years and 8 months. Mary and Jim grew up near each other as Mary and her sister's mother died when about 30 years of age, so the girls were raised by their grandparents. Mary died of childbirth complications in 1898 with 2nd child who also died. First child was Sadie Croushorn, my mother's(Evalena)half-sister. Sadie m. Henry A. Byers, 1883-1964. Sadie lived 1894-1949.
