She was preceded in death by her husband, Will, whom she married in 1937. She was the second of 7 children born to Callie and Sam Rogers.
Mrs. Anthony is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Lillie Hawkins and Ms. Kate Rogers, both of Cleveland, Ohio as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She retired as a nurse from St. Margaret's Hospital and stayed active in her community doing volunteer work at the Montgomery Community Action Center and the First Baptist Church on Ripley St. She was a long-time member of Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Anthony loved being a member of the Matron's Missionary Group and will be missed by her special friends from there.
There will be a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery, Wednesday, Oct. 26 following a visitation at White Chapel at 10 a.m.
