Fay Cleveland, 75, of St. Louis, a former Jackson County resident, died Saturday in Castle Haven Nursing Home, Belleville. She had been in failing health for some time.

Mrs. Cleveland was a daughter of Robert and Angie (Harrison) Edwards. She was born in Sato on Jan. 23, 1898. Her marriage to Percy C. Cleveland occurred in Perryville, Mo., on Sept. 13, 1923. Mr. Cleveland died June 25, 1972.

Mrs. Cleveland is survived by a son, Lee Roy Cleveland of St. Louis; brothers, Arch Edwards, Murphysboro, and Roy Edwards, Gorham; sisters Della Mitchell, Springfield, and Alma Levan, Belleville; and two grandchildren. Two daughters, three sisters and five brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cleveland was a member of Water Tower Baptist Church of St. Louis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Wilson Funeral Home, Ava. Dr. A. E. Prince, pastor of Water Tower Baptist Church of St. Louis, will officiate. Burial will be in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
