James Q. Wallace Dies at 74

James Q. Wallace, 74, retired farmer and a native of Jayess, died at 8:35 this morning in the Tylertown Hospital, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday from the Powell's Grove Baptist Church, with burial in the Powell's Grove cemetery. Rev. Glen Roy Travis will officiate, assisted by Rev. C. E. Corney.

Mrs. Wallace leaves his widow, Mrs. Eva Wallace; two daughters, Mrs. Ottis Spence, Tylertown, and Mrs. J. H. Welch, Ashdown, Ark.; two sons, Delisee of Mobile, Ala., and Watson Mulford of Little Rock, Ark; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Laney, R. D., Pressie and Jesse, all of Jayess.

Catchings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
