Jewell L. Acree
NAMPA — Jewell L. Acree, 87, of Nampa, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 1989, in a Nampa hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel. Wendell Christensen will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Mrs. Acree was born Sept. 17, 1901, at Bridgeport, Texas, where he was reared and educated. She married Herbert E. Acree in 1921 at Bridgeport. They lived in Texas and Oklahoma for several years. In 1962, they moved to Nampa and farmed in the Sunnyridge area south of town for a number of years. Mr. Acree died May 1, 1986. She had since resided in Nampa.
She had been a member of Nampa VFW Post #3465 Auxiliary, and had done volunteer work with the Nampa Salvation Army.
Survivors include four song, Jack and R. L. Acree, both of Boise, Herbert Vernon Acree of Lewiston and Phil Acree of Wheatland, Calif.; a daughter, Doris Fellows of Reno, Nev.; a brother, R. H. Binyon of Paris, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Nampa Salvation Army, 403 12th Ave. Road, Nampa 83651.
Friends may call today from 1 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel in Nampa.
