The death of Burt Howell occurred at his home, 1862 Westr Avenue, Sunday afternoon, aged 67 years, after an illness of. some months, following numerous strokes of apoplexy. He is survtved by a wife, Ruth Culver Howell, and a sister, Mrs. Ella K. Handy of Medina.
''Burt" as he was known to nearly every man, woman and child in this section, was the best auctioneer of Western New York and his acquaintance with the farmers and other residents was exceptionally large and his genial disposition and hospitality made him well liked by everyone. He has probably presided at more auctions than any other man in Western New York, and many are the entertaining "yarns" that are told about the various happenings at these sales.
The funeral will be held Wednesr day afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his late home with burial at Boxwood.
