Born in Gray Hawk, Kentucky, on December 2, 1903, he was the son of John and Elizabeth (Banks) Frye. He lived most of his life in Franklin County where he had farmed plus he was a retired chemist with the former Cincinnati Chemical Company. Mr. Frye was married to the former Esther Hudson until her death in 1957.
Survivors include two sons, Lucian Frye of New Trenton and Raymond Frye of Paragon; one sister Martha Branstetter of Saylor Park, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, three infant sons, one sister, seven brothers and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral services will begin at 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Phillips and Meyers Funeral home. Maple Grove Cemetery will be the site of interment. Friends may call on Thursday, July 22, between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. His family requests memorials be directed to a favorite charity
