Mrs. C. Hufty.
Mrs. Cassandra Hufty died Oct. 28 at the residence of her son-in-law, John Hughs of Rice's Landing, aged eight-eight years. She survived her husband, James Hufty quite a number of years. She was a member of the Garard's Fort Baptist Church. About forty years ago, when removing to Rice's Landing, she joind the Cumberland Church in which she was faithful and devoted to the cause of Christ, and died in the trumph of the Christian faith. Funeral took place the 21st, at Hewitt's Grove Cemetery. In the absence of her pastor, Rev. J. P. Baird, religeous exercises were conducted by J. C. McMinn. J.M.
