IOWA CITY
Margaret M. Rogers, 84, of 536 Olive Dr., died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 4, 1902, at Cosgrove. She married Frank Tomas, Sr.. in 1921; he died in 1952. She married Leo Rogers in 1960; he died in 1974. She was employed as a housekeeper in the obstetrics department of Mercy Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary No. 2581, the Moose Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Tomas, Jr. of Coralville, and Charles Tomas of Iowa City; two daughters, Marcella Stovers of rural Solon and Gladys Christensen of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Donohue-Lensing's, Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Mercy Hospital Foundation.
