Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with pastor Duane Galbraith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, where military rites will be conducted by Killbuck VFW.
Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Children's Hospital Teddy Bear Run.
He was born May 29, 1959 in Barberton, the son of Stephen and Genevieve (Cornwell) Eiler Sr., and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had served aboard the USS Nimitz, and was involved with the rescue of hostages in the Lebanon and Grenada situations.
He was a member of Millersburg Eagles and American Legion Post 82, London Derry, Vt. Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, farming and the outdoors.
Surviving are his mother, Genevieve Eiler of Millersburg; a brother, Stephen (Kathy) Eiler Jr. of Millersburg; sisters, Dona (Mark) VanSickle and Sherry (John) Mullet, both of Millersburg; nieces and nephews, Laura, Susan, Katie, Barbara, Karen, Brandi, Brock, Amber and Steven; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Sr.; and a brother, David Eiler.
