Edwin Lindmeier of River Forest, met a tragic death at Rockwell and Madison, Chicago. While on duty on a North Western train, Mr. Lindmeier was fixing an air brake on his car, when he was drawn into a steel girder.
Death was not instantaneous, for he attempted to reach for a telefone to call for help. He was missed from the train at West Chicago, and an immediate search was made to locate him. His family was notified the next morning of the tragedy.
