Ellen grew up in Pleasant Ridge and moved to Fowlerville while she was in High School. She was a graduate of Fowlerville High School, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, and her master's degree from Michigan State University. Ellen taught in the Lansing School System for over 30 years.
She is preceded in death by two husbands (Jordan Jenkins and Russell Allman) and is survived by six children: Richard Rastall (Janeen), Patrick Rastall (Jan), Kevin Rastall, Kay Jenkins, Guy Jenkins, and George Jenkins; and seven grandchildren.
Ellen loved the arts, MSU athletics, Paris, Sarasota Florida, and spending time with her family. She especially treasured her many wonderful friends who gave her joy and greatly enriched her life.
Ellen's family wishes to sincerely thank all of her friends for your kindness, your love, your prayers, and for adding so much to our mother's life. Well wishers and friends were invited to stop by the Spartan Hall of Fame Café November 20th, to share sympathies, stories, memories and laughs. (There was be a family only memorial service on Saturday.)
