Norbert W Beckers age 90 of Big Lake (Big Eagle Lake) and formerly of Golden Valley quietly slipped away at his home on October 22, 2011.

"Everything is Wonderful" is how Norbert viewed life, and always saw the glass half full. He was very proud of the 39 months he spent in the South Pacific with the US Navy SeaBees during WWII, and spent his leave at various USO's in California dancing with the stars. They enjoyed his retirement years traveling around the world with Trixie his wife of 56 years, and then settling down on Eagle Lake, loving every day. He was an avid Twins and Vikings fan.

He leaves behind his beloved daughter Joni; brothers Al and Greg; sisters Cindy, Luella, and Evie; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by beloved wife Trixie; and son Randy.
