Mrs. Mary Fox, 80, of Hillsboro died Saturday, October 25, 2003 at a Waco hospital. She was born November 14, 1922 in Hillsboro, daughter of the late Earle Franklin and Vera Louise Smith Jacoby, Sr. She lived in Hillsboro all of her life. She married Edgar Allen Fox March 26, 1938 in Hillsboro. She worked at Hillsboro Cotton Mill and later Hillcrest Carpets and Spartan Copper Manufacturing in quality control. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth J. Davis, November 2, 1987; and one brother, Earle Jacoby, July 19, 1974. Survivors include; her husband; three daughters, Barbara White and husband, Richard, of Waco, Sandra Haddock and husband, Herbert, of Longview and Carolyn Price and husband, Gary, of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Paul Clark and Rev. Byron Tilton officiating. Burial followed at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to Walnut Street Baptist Church Youth, P.O. Box 1144, Hillsboro 76645; or American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15186, Austin 78761.
