Actor. He is recognized as a 20th century Swedish actor, who achieved recognition as an author and artist. Considered a cultural leader by many, he made his name in various public situations such as a lyricist, translator of lyrics, on comedy television shows, and the children television show "Storyteller." In the 1969 television series, he had the role as Pippi Longstocking's father. He had a successful Hollywood career, beginning with film roles in "Hugo and Josefin" in 1968 and the adventure "Pippi in the South Seas" in 1970. As a voice actor, he made the characteristic voices of Baloo and Little John in the Swedish versions of Disney's "The Jungle Book" and "Robin Hood." After receiving part of his education in the United States, John Bertil Wolgers was a journalist at "Stockholm-Tidningen" from 1960 to 1961. As an artist, he exhibited his pieces with Ernfrid Bogstedt. He wrote about a thousand songs and specialized in putting Swedish lyrics to foreign tunes.
