Opal was just a hoot. Nothing was better than going to grandma's on the weekend. She would have us stamp Avon books ( she sold Avon for 40plus years) and deliver them for her on her route up and down the hills of Walnut Creek and Alamo. We could earn 10¢ for each book. Though we would rather have her cook for us instead. There was nothing as better than her tapioca pudding or chicken gumbo. We could have just eaten a six course meal and when we got to grandma's we would be ready to eat again.
What a great woman she was. She will always me missed. More importantly, she will always be thought of.
