U.S. Congresswoman. She graduated from Greenville Female College and was active in agricultural pursuits. In 1944, she was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-eighth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of her husband Congressman Hampton P. Fulmer, serving until 1945. Not a candidate for reelection, she resumed her agricultural interests until her retirement. She died at age 84 while aboard a ship en route to Europe.
