Florid, November 14, 1895
Grandma Jane Willis died on the evening of the 6th, she being 93 years, 8 months and 1 day old. Rev. J.W. Fox, pastor of the Congregational Church at Granville conducted the funeral service. She was laid away in the cemetery at Florid on the 8th, followed by a large number of our citizens. She I believe was the oldest person that resided in Hennepin Township, if not in the county. She became a Christian lady in life and everyone that visited her soon found out that she had hope that reached beyond and in that respect all may wish that their end be like hers.
