With grateful hearts for her life the family of DelIda Vest Chatelain announce her passing.

She passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Heritage Park in Roy, Utah.

DelIda was born December 5, 1930 in Farmington, Utah to Clifford Hyrum Vest and Milda Mae Hess.

She married Conard LeVere Chatelain of North Ogden on July 29, 1950 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was solemnized on December 1, 1990 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her life was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served as a Visiting Teacher, Primary teacher, Young Women's teacher and president, and Librarian.

She enjoyed her association with the Sigma Beta Phi Sorority. She was an avid bowler. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and her organ. She worked for Juliet's, Dillard, and Christopher and Banks.

Her greatest joy was to be able to travel with her children and grandchildren. She loved Christmas and made it a magical experience for her family.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Conard LeVere Chatelain; daughters, Ilene (Allan) Graves of Centerville and Donna (Dan) Woodland of Huntsville; son, Curtis LeVere (Sharon Wood) Chatelain of Clinton; fourteen grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; one great - great-granddaughter; her brother, Arthur Dee (Donna Harper) Vest; and aunt, Ada Emily Vest Taylor (ninety-seven years old). Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clifford Hyrum and Milda Mae Hess Vest.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard. A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Myers from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Ben Lomond City Cemetery.
