THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS FURNISHED BY PHIL LASHER:
Abraham's dates are b. 1695 d. 1785 in Bedford County. Some accounts have him living as late as 1790 but all have him as died in Bedford County. Also most Rev soldiers filed for a pension between 1785 and 1790 but Abraham did not.

The government veterans grave locator lists only two Leasure's in Unity cemetery (both Abraham b. 1713 d. 1803 & brother Georgeb. 1728 d. 1809 attached.) Abraham b. 1713 d. 1803 and his wife Margaret b. 1715 d. 1818 both died and were buried on their farm Westmoreland County, near the present site of the Westmoreland county fair grounds. Their bodies were moved at a later date to the unity cemetery, and buried next to his brother George.

I am still looking for Abrahams records at the national archives and if they are ever found I will let you know where he is buried but we can be sure it is not in Unity cemetery.

7/13/2015 - THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS FURNISHED BY JENNIFER MADDOX @ FAG (#48301488) She is showing Abraham's birthplace as Basel, Basel-Stadt, Switzerland, not France. I have asked her for documentation.

6/7/2016 - THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS FURNISHED BY CATHLEEN VOUGHT @ FAG(#48436925)I saw the note on Abraham Leasure's profile about the confusion over whether he was born in Basel, Switzerland or France from information provided by Jennifer Maddox. Abraham Leasure (profile 8073600) was born in the Navarre province of France. His son, Abraham Leasure Jr. (profile 28291251) was born in Basel, Switzerland. I think she was probably confused over the similar names. Hope that helps!Regards,Cathleen Vought
