1944 - Daniel L. DeLong, 79, who left this section 25 years ago to reside in Lafayette, Ind., died there Friday and will be buried in Lafayette after funeral services to be held at 2 p.m. today. Before going to the Middle West, he resided near Schnecksville where he was born a son of the late Joel and Mary, nee Mattern, DeLong. His wife, the former Mamie Slattermeyer (sic Fletemeyer), preceded him in death several years ago.
Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Travis of Harrisburg; Mrs. Ellen Smoyer of Schnecksville; Paul DeLong of Allentown; and Tilton DeLong, residing along Allentown R. 1.

Daniel was born abt. 1865 and married Mary A. "Mamie" Fletemeyer on Sep 20, 1888 in Tippecanoe Co., IN. (another source has the 18th)
