Andrew Crook 2nd born December 1. 1759, Westminster, Connecticut, son of Andrew and Christian Crook.

August 18, 1777, age 17, enlisted as private, Captain John Sloan's Company of Volunteers in Col. Joseph Marsh's Regiment of Militia, NY/VT. Discharged September 30, 1777.

April 19, 1778, enlisted as private (with brothers Thomas, Charles, and Samuel), Captain Ezekial Ladd's Company, Col. Timothy Bedel's Regiment of New Hampshire Troops.
Discharged March 30, 1779.

"Captain of the War of the Revolution" may be a title earned in drilling troops after his war discharge.

Married Lydia Baldwin born November 26, 1762, daughter of Benjamin and Lydia Peters-Baldwin of Bradford, Vermont on January 9, 1783 in Piermont.
