Abraham Downing, 82, died at 11 a. m. Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hilda Tanco, 312 South Sixth street, with whom he had made his home the past two years. Born at Monument City, he lived most of his life in Carroll county and for a number of years was superintendent of the Carroll county infirmary. In 1907 he married Mandellie Perry, who survives. He was a member of the Christian church of Delphi. Surviving, with the widow and daughter, are two half-sisters, Mrs. Emma Hunter, Delphi, and Mrs. J. E. Bigelow, Andrews.
