Mrs. Jennie B. Patterson, wife of Lee Patterson, passed away at 8:00 o'clock Wednesday morning, May 29, 1946 at Memorial hospital to which she had been taken only the night before. She had been in ill health for some time. Jennie Barger was born in Chariton, Ia., on April 1, 1889. There she grew to womanhood and there on June 21, 1911, was united in marriage to Lee Patterson. Four children were born to this union, three sons and one daughter, all living. The couple came to Wyoming in 1928, first settling on a ranch near Glendo and a few years later coming to Converse County and taking up a homestead about 18 miles south of Doulas. Later they moved to town and have resided on South Third Street for many years. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Verne of Casper, Harold of Thermopolis, Mrs. Vera McCormick of Oswego, Mont., and Kenneth of Douglas; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Hollinrake of Binkleman, Neb., Mrs. Paul Adcock of Waterloo, Ia, and Mrs. Hattie Wright of Midway, Wash.; three brothers, Virgil Barger of Pallisade, Neb., Roy Barger of Binkleman, Neb., and Jay Barger of Des Moines, Ia.; and five grandchildren, Dennis Patterson, Johnny and Anita McCormick, and Lee and Jean Patterson. A brother, Clarence Barger, passed away about three years ago, and a sister, Adda, died at Chariton just a week ago.
