Mary Lucille Runyon, 88, of Taylor Road died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.

Mrs. Runyon moved from Kentucky to Columbus in 1938. She retired from Cummins Engine Co., was a member of Hope Order of the Eastern Star and St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and enjoyed antiquing and animals.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Vernon Jewell-Nick Rittman Funeral Home with the Rev. Eldon Brandt officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Born in New Hope, Ky., May 13, 1915, Mrs. Runyon was the daughter of William and Josephine A. Hicks Boone. She married Herbert Stiltz in 1931 and George Runyon in 1971.

Survivors include a son, Herbert B. Stiltz Jr. of Columbus; a sister, Sadie Boone of Bardstown, Ky.; a stepsister, Margaret Norris of Lebanon, Ky.; grandchildren, Kim Stiltz, Dawn Boyd and Erin Jaggers, all of Columbus; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, seven brothers and one sister.
