Boaz Vinson was born in 1878 Choctaw County, Alabama and moved to Milam County, Texas when he was seven years old.

He married 1st about 1897 (in either Milam or Van Zandt County) to Mary Ethyl Lane (1881-about 1910) They had the following children:

1) Walter Roy(Nov 20, 1898 - Dec 1966)
2) Nannie Bell (Sept 15, 1900 - _____)
3) Herman A. (Aug 17, 1902 - May 31, 1989)
4) Loren Rue (Feb 22, 1905 - June 15, 1959)
5) Serene Lucille (Sept 08, 1908 - _____)

Boaz moved to Ellis County and became a leading cotton grower in the Austonia community 3 miles southeast of Avalon.

After 1930 Boaz and Mary Ethel divorced and he then married second wife to widow Dovie KITCHENS Ramsey (Jan 24, 1900 - Aug 06, 1998)in Ellis County.
