Della Thornton, 94, of 5776 Waterman St., St. Louis, formerly of the Pinckneyville area, died Wednesday in Homer G. Phillips Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born June 17, 1882, in Ava, to William Carol and Louisa Biggs Thornton. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pyatt Funeral Home in Pinckneyville, with the Rev. Charles Boling officiating. Burial will be in the Ava Cemeter.
