Mass of the Christian Burial was held for Lorraine Miller, age 84, of Dunseith, ND, on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in the St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Dunseith, ND with the Reverend Father Scott Brossart S.O.L.T. officiating the service.
Burial was in the spring of 2011 at the Sunrise View Cemetery of rural Dunseith, ND.
Casket bearers were Victor Baker, Beau Baker, George Poitra, Louis Baker, Warren Falcon, George Falcon Jr. and Devon Baker. Honorary bearers were Jeff Baker and Ben Parisien.
Lorraine Miller, a daughter of Francis and Liza (Desjarlais) Baker, was born on January 21, 1927 at Belcourt, ND. She was reared and educated in the Dunseith area. After her education she worked at area places. In 1958 she was married to Warren Miller at Dunseith, ND. She worked many years in the Valley at the potato warehouses during the fall.
She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church Lorraine enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening and playing cards.
Lorraine passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at a Minot, ND hospital.
She is survived by daughters: Wanda Falcon of Belcourt, ND and Eva Miller of MN; sons: Arden Baker, Clovis Baker and George Miller, all of Dunseith, ND. Victor Baker of Pierre, SD, Glen Niller of ND, Randy Miller of Minot, ND, Don Miller of Belcourt, ND and Jerry Miller; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary Jane Thoreiner of Dunseith, ND and Rose Laducer of Belcourt, ND
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Sylvia Baker, Violet Baker, Clara Baker and Emma Poitra; sons: Jessie Baker, Paul Baker and Paul Miller; a daughter, Joyce Baker.
