Adams – The funeral for Mrs. Bessie R. Gilbert, 92, Liverpool, formerly of Adams and widow of Benjamin Gilbert, who died Monday evening in St. Mary's Hospital, Syracuse, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Piddock Funeral Home, Rev. William Burton, pastor of the Adams Village Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Adams Rural Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Goodman, Liverpool, with whom she lived: three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Born April 3, 1880, at Adams, daughter of Wilfred and Mary Bach Rogers, she spent most of her life in the Adams vicinity. Her husband Benjamin Gilbert died years ago, and she moved to the Syracuse section 15 years ago to live with her daughter.
