HAZEL GREEN, Wis. -- Mary "Darlene" Kisting, 78, of Hazel Green, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Southwest Health Center, Cuba City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Hazel Green, with the Rev. Lance Schneider officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cuba City. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
She was born on May 23, 1933, daughter of Harold and Elizabeth (Kilcoyne) Hovind. She was a graduate of Benton High School.
She married Paul Kisting on April 25,1953, in Benton, where together they farmed until moving to Hazel Green.
She worked for the Dominican Sisters of the Sinsinawa Mound.
She enjoyed baking and cherished her time spent with family and friends. Darlene was a kind and caring person who will be fondly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are four children, Geri (Mike) Cooley, of Lancaster, John, of Hazel Green, Wayne (Karen), of Platteville, and Kevin, of Cuba City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian (Norbert) Aurit and Sharon Tesmer; and two brothers, the Rev. Philip Conlon and Bud Hovind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a daughter, Lynne Kisting; and brothers, Francis and James Conlon.
