New Orleans native Fidesah Ingram 1914-2003 taught in the Chattanooga City School system for 32 years. When she retired, the street where she lived was named in her honor. Her husband, Fain 1912-1961, began his career as a teacher at the Cave Springs Georgia School for the Deaf, where he taught furniture making. They purchased this home at the corner of Tennessee Ave. in 1937.
