Helen Graham Dawson, 69, a retired registered nurse and widow of Harry E. Dawson, Jr., died Friday at her residence.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in Screven Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Johnson-Graham Funeral Home, will be in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Dawson was born in Lancaster, a daughter of William E. Graham and Bessie Caskey Graham.

She was a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina School of Nursing and was a nursing supervisor at Georgetown Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She had also been director of nurses at Winyah Extended Care Center. She was a member of South Carolina Nurses Association and Screven Baptist Church.

Surviving are her father of Lancaster; two daughters, Angela D. Bradford and Mollie D. Hyer, both of Mount Pleasant; a son, Harry E. Dawson, III of Georgetown; three sisters, Euphemia Graham, Eunice Bennett and Elizabeth Walters, all of Lancaster; and four grandchildren.
