Death Takes Mrs. Dillon
Mrs. Eva Dillon, 90, Centralia, died Friday morning in a Centralia hospital. Born March 4, 1880, in Douds, Iowa, she had been a resident of the Centralia area for 88 years.
Mrs. Dillon came in 1882 with her widowed mother, the late Mrs. T.J. Armentrout to the Hanaford Valley near Centralia to be with her grandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James P. McElfresh early-day pioneers.
Mrs. Dillon's husband, Edward E. died in 1961.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie Fusco, Centralia; a son, James E. Dillon, Bremerton; two nieces Miss Serena Armentrout and Mrs. Lawrence Barrett, both of Centralia; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Newell-Hoerling's, Centralia with the Rev. Charles E. Butcher officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. View Cemetery, Centralia.
