Services were held Wednesday, April 3, for Mrs. Velma Aden, at the United Methodist Church, Rolfe. Burial was in the Clinton Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe. Mrs. Aden passed away on Monday, April 1, 1985, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital following a lengthy illness, reaching the age of 72 years.
Powers Funeral Home, Rolfe, was in charge of arrangements. Velma Short was born and educated at Glidden. In 1929 she married Eddie Aden at Pocahontas. In 1932, the couple moved to Rolfe. Mr. Aden died in 1978. Mrs. Aden entered the Rolfe Care Center in December, 1984. She was a member of the Pocahontas County Concerned Citizens.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Vera McKinley, of Glidden and many nieces and nephews.
