Valerie Ash Shrewsbury of Fredricktown, OH went home to be with the Lord following a short illness on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Valerie was an LPN and had a legitimate passion caring for the patients at the various nursing homes she worked for. She also had a great love for children whom she called Little Angels.
She was born in Mansfield, OH on July 6, 1954 to Earl and Patricia Ash. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Fred Shrewsbury, 2 daughters, Michelle Shrewsbury and Mandy (James) Jiles, 3 granddaughters, Desireé Shrewsbury, Brittany and Kendra Denton. 2 sisters Laurie (Randy) Mcgrew, Becky Ash, and 3 brothers Greg (Teresa) Ash, Arthur (Lori) Ash, Roger (Mary) Ash. Special Aunt Sylvia Hudson and Father-in-law Walter Shrewsbury. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Leslie and Pearl Ash and also Edwin and Edith Casler.
Private graveside services will be held in Beckley, WV.
