Dennis John Kellerman, age 61, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 10, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Dennis was born in DuQuoin, IL, on August 8, 1950, the son of Rudolph and Ella (Flure) Kellerman. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Kannia on Oct. 2, 1971 at St. Charles Church, DuBois, IL and she survives. Dennis was a coal miner for 23 years, working at the Burning Star #3, Captain and Horse Creek Mines. He then worked as a dredge operator for Carbon Recovery for 6 years and worked at the Pinckneyville power plant for 11 years. Dennis was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, enjoyed maintaining his home and property, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Pinckneyville, IL, a son, Kevin (Amanda) Kellerman , D.M.D . of St. Louis, MO, a daughter, Kimberly Kellerman of Christopher, IL, two grandchildren, Oliver and Everett Kellerman, parents, Rudolph and Ella Kellerman of Pinckneyville, IL, nine brothers and sisters, Dorothy (Willard) Schaudt of Cutler, IL, Barbara (Jerry) Denham of Centerville, GA, Mary (David) Stone of Pinckneyville, IL, Donna (Ron) Mann of DuQuoin, IL, Theresa (Don) Christenson of Jackson, MO, Rudy Kellerman of Greenville, NC, Margaret (John) Branum of Albion, IL, Jerome Kellerman of Glen Carbon, IL, Joan (Billy) Sutterer of Sparta, IL, a mother-in-law, Pauline Kannia of Dubois, IL, and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday afternoon, Dec. 12, 2011, at 2 p.m. in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in the St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Friends may call at the Church on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until Services.

The Rosary will be recited on Monday at 1:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or St. Bruno Catholic Church.
