BYRON - Frances Stallworth Moseley, 86, died Friday, December 9, 2011. Services will be held at 11A.M. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Byron United Methodist Church with Rev. Baxter Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in Byron City Cemetery.

Born in Macon to the late Roscoe Stillmore Stallworth and Eppie Jewell Tucker Stallworth, Mrs. Moseley was a graduate of Mercer University, a former schoolteacher, worked at Robins Air Force Base and a homemaker. A longtime member of Byron United Methodist Church, she was very active in her church and a member of the W. D. Aultman Sunday School Class. A longtime President of Byron Village Green Garden Club, she was an avid artist, very active in the Jailhouse Alley Art Club and member of Town and Country Travel Club.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Teresa Moseley of Byron; grandchildren, Martin Hood "Trey" Moseley Jr. of Atlanta and Katlyn Moseley of Byron; and a brother, Joseph Peyton Stallworth Sr. of Billings, Montana.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Hood "Toon" Moseley and a brother, Roscoe Stillmore Stallworth Jr. who had served as a fighter pilot during WWII.
