Mrs. C.M. Giles, 59, was a graduate of Thorp Springs Christian College in 1919. Miss Lou Giles taught school in Saginaw.
She married C.M. Giles on 21 December 1921 at Fort Worth. The couple came to Breckenridge after their marriage and lived her until her death.
She was a member of the Walker Street Church of Christ and had been president of the Breckenridge Garden Club until her illness.
Mrs. Giles was district treasurer of the garden club and member of the Breckenridge Woman's Forum.
The funeral was held at Walker Street Church of Christ with Robert Oglesby, minister, officiating.
Survived by her husband, owner of Giles Tire Co. of Breckenridge; two daughters - Mrs. Manly Ballard of Abilene and Mrs. Charles Sanders of Monahans; her parents - Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Rowland of Cleburne; two brothers - Roy Rowland of Baytown and Marvin Rowland of Cleburne; three sisters - Mrs. W.H. Holder of Cleburne, Mrs. George Locke of Fort Worth and Mrs. Era Helton of Waco; four grandsons.
