Eileen Paige Davies, 76, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, died March 20, 2009. She was born October 7, 1932 in Taunton, Massachusetts to Anthony and Mary Paige. For 15 years, Eileen was a loyal volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and enjoyed social golf and bridge with her friends at Sawgrass Country Club. She was fond of moving around the country with her family as she moved over 20 times over 35 years.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Davies; daughter Susan (John Francis IV) Fowler of Alpharetta, Georgia; son James (Barbara) Davies of Alpharetta, Georgia; grandchildren, Paige and Catherine Davies, and Kaitlin, Kristen, and Kyle Fowler, all of Alpharetta, Georgia; and sister, Kathleen Brown of Brewerton, New York. Her parents, sister, Joan Newlove, and brother, Robert Paige, predeceased her. Eileen would like to be remembered as a loving wife and mother who also had a close relationship with God. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Monsignor Daniel Logan as Celebrant followed by a reception at the Sawgrass Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, McGraw Center, Jacksonville, Florida. (Published in Florida Times-Union March 22, 2009)
