Alvin was the husband of Clara (Harnick) Warner and the father of: Dorothy A. Warner(Simcoe), Lillian Warner (Kistler), Leon James John Warner and Eugene Charles Warner.

Alvin was born Wednesday, December 13, 1871 to James Alvin Warner and Abigail Angeline (Showers) Warner. Later in life, he was a farm hand and enjoyed horses. He owned two percheron stallions named King and Prince. In addition to horses, Alvin also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Singing and playing musical instruments were also a favorite pastime of Alvin's, too. He would sing "dirty" lyrics in German to annoy his mother-in-law, Dora Harnick.

Sadly, he passed away one and a half days after sustaining an accidental gunshot wound to his head. The accident occurred while he was being handed a hunting rifle, which he was about to clean.
