She was a child of John and Judith Watkins of Goochland, Virginia and married, as his second wife, Abner Wentworth Clopton Nowlin. In family records shared online it is interesting that next to her name is written "won't marry" but obviously she did, in 1862 when she was 34 years old. Her middle name was Nevison as written in the records, also spelled Nivison. A notice of death was published in The Evening Star (Washington, District of Columbia) on 4 Jul 1898.
