Angela (Blass) Azzolina-Lombardo, 96, of Exeter Township passed away on Thursday. She was born on June 8, 1915 in Hazleton, PA, to the late Anthony Blass and Mary (Perate) Blass-DeFazio. She was married to Benjamin "Benny" Azzolina who preceded her in death in 1973. She later married George Lombardo who preceded her in death in 1992. Angela was a cook for over 30 years at the former Mt. Penn High School where she was fondly known as "Mrs. Azz" by the students. She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena RCC. Angela loved to play bingo and to make hundreds of Christmas cookies for her family and friends. In her later years she enjoyed watching the birds outside her windows. She is survived by one daughter; two grandchildren, and her husband, Asaf, Philadelphia. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren: Ashley, Ryan, Abigail and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Blass and Frank DeFazio; and four sisters: Rose Materia, Carolyn Rappaselli, Carmella Scianni and Cecilia Long. Memorial Services for Angela will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at the Auman Funeral Home, 390 West Neversink Road, Reading, PA where friends may call from 9 to 10 AM prior to the service. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Catharine of Siena RCC Memorial Fund, 2427 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
