Delbert Pinkerton
Delbert Eugene "Buddy" Pinkerton, 81, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born on May 29, 1930, in Pleasants County, WV. He was a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed hunting and playing with his grandchildren. Buddy was a member of the local operators union and the tri-state pony pullers.

He is survived by nine children, Norma (Bobby) Harrop, Luann (Randy) Bruce, Charlotte Reed, Jeff (JoAnn) Pinkerton, Greg (Kelly) Pinkerton, Karl (Lori) Pinkerton, Pete (Tawnya) Pinkerton, Mike Pinkerton, and Michelle (Bruce) Chadock; four step-children, Harold (Abby) Blevins, Roger Doehring, Bill (Donna ) Evans, and Scott Evans; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one special grandson, Aaron Pinkerton; two brothers, Bill Pinkerton, Carl "Woody" Pinkerton; and one sister Donnie Greathouse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lilly Malone Pinkerton, his wife, Frances Pinkerton, two brothers, Charles Pinkerton and June Pinkerton, and two sisters,Ruth Schmidt and Tino Williams.

Services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 2 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor Jimmy Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. Wednesday, and from 12 to 2 P. M. Thursday.
